Blazers hire Bickerstaff

The Portland Trailblazers have hired former head coach Bernie Bickerstaff as an assistant coach.

Bickerstaff has been a coach with the Seattle Supersonics, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats.

He spent the past two seasons as an assistant with the Chicago Bulls and has served as GM with two organizations.

The Blazers also named former player Buck Williams as another one of the team’s assistant coaches.
